Drafting is an important component of a product especially in architecture and engineering field. Computer-aided design is used to create a design of all kinds of buildings from residential to industrial buildings and also engineering products and materials.

Drafting is the art of creating accurate representations of objects for technical. It is mostly used in engineering works for instance in Civil Engineering they made a draft of their plan and design. The same also as what Architects do in designing a structure.
